Stay in control of your spark.
You choose when to connect, what to share, and when to leave. Spark Cam Chat is an early beta with reporting and blocking, but without live monitoring or automatic video screening.
Before you connect
Use a nickname and keep your background free of addresses, documents, and other identifying details. Leave your state undisclosed if you prefer. A state filter and a social sign-in do not verify another person’s location, age, or identity.
During a conversation
Do not share passwords, recovery codes, payment details, private photos, or your exact location. Never send money to someone because of a chat. You can mute, turn off your camera, end, or skip. Another person may capture their screen even though Spark Cam Chat does not record calls.
When something feels wrong
Leave the conversation. Use Report / block for harassment, nudity, scams, threats, or suspected underage use. A report is saved for review, not routed to an emergency responder.
If you want to stay in touch
Use a mutual friend request. Friends can send messages and request calls, but you still decide whether to answer. Remove or block a connection whenever you want. If you later meet offline, choose a public place and tell someone you trust.
